Kicking off 2015
So, it’s 2015 and Book Sprints are underway. Already it has been eventful. F5 are re-formatting their book for print currently and we are planning the next Book Sprint with them in February. Cisco also has another Book Sprint coming up in Feb. Also on the press right now (this weekend) is the USAID book on African Power Purchase agreements. We also got a letter of support for this book from the US Secretary of Commerce! (See Below). The letter will be included in the printed version. One Hope (a book about Lutheran and Catholic co-operation) is also now available on Amazon since last week. And the Africa Country Mining Vision Guidebook has just been translated into French by the GIZ and will be printed both in English in French. We are also extending the PubSweet platform to add visualisations of book production so we can ‘see inside’ the Book Sprint process and understand more of the ebb and flow of the process throughout each 5 day Book Sprint.
Also in Feb we will have our first in person ‘core’ meeting. Mark, Kat, Barbara and Adam will meet in California in a few weeks to discuss the future of Book Sprints.
Lots happening! We will keep you informed of all the Book Sprints for 2015 as they happen. In the meantime, have a great 2015!
